Lovejoy Announce New Single “Common Touch” Ahead of Debut Album One Simple Trick

Indie-rock band Lovejoy have just announced the third single off their upcoming record is due out on September 19th. “Common Touch” will follow “Pay & Display” and “With Rob As My Witness” as singles off the forthcoming, One Simple Trick, Lovejoy’s debut record which is out on October 3rd.

The release of “Common Touch” will be accompanied by a brand new music video. The announcement of the single comes after the band soft-launched a surprise show in London at the O2 Islington Academy 2 on Wednesday, the 24th of September, which according to Lovenjoyers, sold-out within seconds. And it isn’t the first time Lovejoy have played at the O2 Islington Academy – they performed there as part of their Resources For Teaching tour last November.

“With Rob As My Witness” was the first single to be released off One Simple Trick, around the time Lovejoy started teasing their debut album. A music video followed suit, and so did the fan theories. Since its release in June, the single has accumulated more than 2 million streams on Spotify.

A month after the release, in July, of “With Rob As My Witness,” Lovejoy announced One Simple Trick and the band’s US tour in support of the record, One Simple Tour.

And then another month after that announcement, “Pay & Display” was the second single off One Simple Trick to be released alongside a brand new music video, with the single seeing praise from 1883 Magazine, MusicTalkers, , and KBZT (ALT 94.9).

“Common Touch” is due out next Friday, and then – we’re in the home stretch.
